Room Aromas supplies room odourisers intended only for the purpose described on the product packaging.

These products are not intended for human consumption or direct inhalation. They must only be purchased and handled by adults aged 18 or over.

Always read the product label carefully before use. Follow all warnings, handling instructions and storage directions shown on the individual product. Product-specific information on the packaging takes precedence over the general guidance on this page.

Safe Handling

When handling any Room Aromas product:

  • Use the product only for its stated intended purpose.
  • Keep the product in its original container.
  • Keep the cap securely closed when the product is not being handled.
  • Do not swallow the contents.
  • Do not inhale the contents directly from the bottle.
  • Avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
  • Do not mix the contents with other substances.
  • Do not transfer the contents into another container.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
  • Do not use a bottle that is damaged, leaking or has a broken seal.

Storage

Store products:

  • Out of the sight and reach of children and pets.
  • Upright and in their original containers.
  • With the cap fully secured.
  • Away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other sources of ignition.
  • Away from direct sunlight.
  • In accordance with any additional storage instructions shown on the product label.

Do not smoke while handling these products.

Accidental Exposure

If Swallowed

Seek medical advice immediately.

Do not try to make the person vomit and do not give them anything to eat or drink unless instructed by a healthcare professional.

Keep the product bottle, packaging and label available so that healthcare professionals can identify the substance involved.

Call 999 or go to A&E if the person has swallowed the product, is having difficulty breathing, has lost consciousness, is having a seizure or is otherwise seriously unwell.

Call NHS 111 if you are unsure whether an exposure may be harmful.

If the Product Enters the Eyes

Rinse cautiously with plenty of clean water. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing.

Seek medical advice if irritation, pain or changes to vision occur, or if the product label instructs you to do so.

If the Product Contacts the Skin

Remove any contaminated clothing and wash the affected skin thoroughly with water.

Seek medical advice if irritation or other symptoms develop.

If Fumes Are Accidentally Breathed In

Move to fresh air and rest.

Seek medical advice if the person feels unwell, experiences breathing difficulties or develops any other concerning symptoms.

Fire and Spill Safety

The contents may be flammable. Keep bottles away from flames, heat, sparks and other ignition sources.

Do not handle a leaking product with bare hands. Move away from ignition sources, ventilate the area where it is safe to do so and follow the instructions on the product label.

Do not use a damaged or leaking bottle. Contact Room Aromas for assistance with an affected order.

Disposal

Follow the disposal instructions shown on the product label.

Do not pour the contents into sinks, drains, toilets or watercourses. Contact your local authority for advice if you are uncertain how a damaged, leaking or unwanted chemical product should be disposed of.
